About EDI

Electro De-Ionization is currently the most advanced technology for ion-exchange where ion specific membranes, mixed bed resin and a DC voltage across them, replace the standard hazardous acid-caustic chemical regeneration process.

With this technology (ultra)pure water can be produced continuously. It is a chemically free process that uses electricity and ion exchange resin to produce ultra-pure deionized water. The EDI process produces industrial process water of very high purity, using less than 95% of the chemical products used in the conventional ion exchange processes. With EDI system membranes and electricity replace the million liters of acid and caustic chemicals that the old processes required daily.

IONPURE® VNX CEDI

VNX CEDI modules are designed for high-flow CEDI systems. The VNX modules are available for various applications. Most commonly used for:

Advantages of IONPURE VNX CEDI Modules

IONPURE VNX CEDI modules have flow rates of up to 55gpm (12.5 m3/h). Modules are known for leak-free operations of up to 100 psig (7 bar).

IONPURE® LABXT & MX CEDI

The IONPURE® LabXT and MX modules are designed with proven continuous electrode ionization (CEDI) technology. Performance of these modules have been optimized to provide ultrapure water for a wide range of laboratory and very low-flow applications.
LabXT CEDI modules are known for their unbeatable performance.
The LabXT modules features innovative leak-free, thin-cell design. These modules also have high feed water and hardness capabilities.

Module features include:

Flow Rate – 3, 5, 10, & 15 lph
Recovery Rate – 50% – 60%
Power – 120V, 0.1 amps DC Max
2.5ppm as CaCO3

These modules can also be used for light industrial, commercial, and laboratory RO systems that are wall mounted or housed in a cabinet. The flow process is identical to the VNX and LX modules.
